A little brisk this morning and yet we still haven’t had a decent frost so far this year!Fingers crossed the mild winter continues but it is probably about time to break out some warmer clothes and think about some running style gloves for our players to keep their hands warm in games. Thanks again to our players, coaches and parents for a wonderful season so far. The numbers are in from our partner - Banjos Bakery Cafe. Over 2000 free small savouries and donuts have been given away to our players already this season! We love that you are supporting our local family-owned bakery and what they give back to ERJSA each week. Keep an eye out for the voucher person as they make their way around our grounds during the season. There is no better time to take advantage of this offer after a chilly Saturday morning game. Thanks again to Scott Jones and the team at Banjos Bakery Cafe for keeping our bellies full of goodies. We were a little slower getting around grounds today, old age injuries meant one of us was on crutches today, which made life a little more challenging. We are still working our way around the timeslots so if we haven’t managed to get to your team yet, or if for other reasons we need to retake a shot, don’t worry, there are still plenty of rounds left in the season. Please enjoy the photos we managed to capture today.

We took a little trip north this weekend which as it turned out was rather good timing. Some IKEA furniture we ordered had arrived, so after a super quick stop it was onto Tynwald Park to watch some games and buy some pastries off the lovely Bianca who was running the canteen there at the home of the New Norfolk Panthers Soccer Club.We were a little disappointed to hear a report from our volunteers who pack up Geilston Bay later that evening though. Apparently the area was left a little untidy this week by our community. While bins can be few and far between at the locations we play, there are some about within a short walk. So please use them or alternatively take your rubbish with you. Better still, be like the Japanese fans at the world cup who are cleaning up stadiums as an expression of respect, gratitude, and collective responsibility. Please enjoy some shots from round 6.

It’s hard to believe it’s June with this type of weather!Today we got to see Edgeworth for the first time, in at least a decade, maybe more, decked out in nets.A huge thank you to Emily and Phil at Richmond again for taking on this job. Thank you also to the ESS parents who helped them at the end of day, this was much appreciated. For these to stay up though, we are all going to have to pull up our socks and maintain more of a watchful eye over our young players and their siblings. It didn’t take long for many to be sagging and partially pulled down. So coaches and parents, please make sure to keep the kids off, and out of, the nets. We will work on some more secure bindings, but nothing is damage-proof unless we work together to make sure they are only used for the purpose they were intended for. Round 5 now complete, please enjoy some shots of the day.
